While my family was in town for Thanksgiving, we spent Friday afternoon in Boulder. While we were there we had lunch at The West End Tavern. The West End Tavern serves yummy home style cuisine in a fun rooftop setting. It was a crisp day but the rooftop heaters kept us warm and toasty. It was nice to sit outside with a fabulous view of the mountains - the sun shining on our faces.

The West End Tavern are PACE certified and 100% of their energy for the restaurant is offset with wind power and the restaurant uses natural beef, chicken and port and source cleaner ingredients that are natural local and organic. West End Tavern supports fisheries and purveyors that are environmentally conscious and that fish legally from sustainable waters. The West End Tavern also uses bio-degradable trash bags, dishwashing detergents and cleaning supplies.
Next time you visit Boulder stop in for a organic beer, sustainable wine and delicious meal at The West End Tavern.

I'm a city girl transplanted to the country. I live in the middle of nowhere (over an hour from any major city) and miss having options like organic/gourmet restaurants nearby. I was thrilled when our rural area got a new restaurant dedicated to sustainable living, The Good Life--the first one of its kind around here! They're food is so good, too, and they do serve a lot of organic.

That is so totally awesome! I wish I could visit there right now :)
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, we don't have any organic restaurants nearby-The closest to one we have is about 25 minutes away and it's more like a cafe type deal.
Hi Junkyard Jennifer,
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome. It is great that you have at least one organic joint that you love.

Hi The Ecletic Element,
ReplyDeleteI completely understand, there weren't many when we lived in Florida or Georgia. Hopefully more will pop up in your area.
