Mr. Sweet Greens and I have already started to talk about downsizing to a smaller home. However, we have decided to stay in the home that we currently have until Eben finishes high school, er... well at least until Eben has finished elementary school. When we do decide to transition, I really want it to be into an i-house. Have you heard of an i-house? They are fantastic, with some great Eco friendly features. I love the idea of a much smaller home that is solar and Earth friendly. Solar!
I can just imagine us living in a 1 bedroom 1 bath with a outside studio. I would definitely feel at home. You can see a great video of the i-house
here. The only thing that is missing as far as I am concerned is a chicken coop, hammock and a fantastic view. Fruit Smoothies on the upstairs deck anyone?
How about you dear readers, would you live in an i-house?
What features do you find interesting?
What features would you like to see added to the i-house?
Xo.
Can I come live with you!? LOL
ReplyDeleteI'll pay rent and babysit and everything :D
That is like THE coolest house-I think I've just found what kind of house I want to live in, too!
HI The Eclectic Element,
ReplyDeleteAlright, that is a deal. hee hee. Wouldn't that be fun?
XO,
Sweet Greens.
Wow, great house! We're thinking about green living: a strawbale house with solar panels would be nice. The strawbales provide perfect insulation, so you need very little energy for heating or cooling. Supposedly easy to build, low-cost and durable too. The other ideal is an ecological vegetable garden surrounding this same house! Great blog!
ReplyDeleteHi Paperfection,
ReplyDeleteI agree, strawbale is the perfect insulation, super effective and efficient. Ooo, I agree either a ecological veggie garden surrounding the house or an inside greenhouse would be fabulous.
xo,
Sweet Greens.
