This week's Earth Friendly Etsy Shop is Black Star. Black Star is owned by Katie McClanahan who lives in Tennessee. Black Star is a vintage jewelry store, full of lovely things repurposed into jewelry. Her collection includes jewelry with simple colors and lines. Don't you agree that simple jewelry is fabulous jewelry?
When asked where Katie finds her inspiration, her answer is simple and sweet. She finds inspiration in her garden, her deep love of the sea and the mountain top where her family swims, camps and wanders the woods. Lovely, no?
Katie makes jewelry for Black Star from vintage beads and thrifted finds with a touch of contemporary thrown in the mix. When Katie's not in her studio, you will find her toting tools and paintbrushes around her latest restoration project, working in the gardens, concocting herbal remedies, whipping up bath and beauty products or floating on her raft at Crystal Lake. Fun.
