Yesterday was my 36th birthday – which I always look forward to. However, yesterday was a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. And while I won’t bore you with the details – it started with me feeling physically awful all weekend (it’s cold season!) and only snowballed from there.
I decided I will celebrate my birthday starting today – hey, very bad days happen. Right? And we can only move forward. So, here’s to 364 wonderful, amazing, great, very good days ahead – I see only good things for 36.
I’ll bet we could come up with 36 great things about the year ahead! I’ll start: a year is bound to be good when every day is better than the last one, and you’re already on your way. 🙂 Happy Birthday, Jennie.
Happy Birthday Jennie! No worries – it happens to the best of it and you are so right, just keep swimming!
Happy Birthday girl! Good for you for moving forward – and not getting stuck on a bad day, even if it was your birthday!
Hi Amanda,
Thank you – it was a tough one. Ha! Good days to come.
Hi Julie,
That is exactly what I am doing – swimming. 🙂
Hi Beth,
Aw, that is a great idea! And you are right, today was definitely better than yesterday. Hooray for new beginnings! Thank you for your kind words too!
awww, happy belated birthday and I hope you start to feel better ASAP! That’s the worst. 🙁
Aw, thanks Alyson! It’s the way it goes – starting to fell better. Thanks for the birday wishes.
I do hope your birthday, take 2 was more successful than your first attempt! 🙂
Good for you for rising above your terrible, horrible, not good, very bad day and making the most of it in a positive way! That’s very admirable of you and I hope you’re feeling better so you can start of 36 the right way 🙂
Happy, happy birthday!
Hi Jen, We are leaving for a long weekend camping trip on Friday – I am thinking of it as my take 2 birthday party! 🙂
Thank you Kayla – that is so sweet of you to say. I think we are all entitled to our bad days – I mean you haven’t lived until you have had the ugly crying face on your birthday! Ha.
so sorry to hear that 1) I missed your Bday because I was myself sick with the flu for two weeks and 2) that your bday sucked so badly and that you got sick! I hope your redo was much much better!
Hi Angie,
Ugh. Sorry to hear that you had the flu! Yes, I was just feeling overall awful – emotionally and physically. Sometimes life just gets a little too real and I needed a break. The redo was amazing and I always try to push through to the light at the end of the tunnel!
Thanks…it sucked. LOL Life. Is. Hard. There is no two ways about it and sometimes we just have to admit that and FEEL it to move on.
